My younger son has been asking to go to the pool since Christmas. Finally, last Sunday he got his wish. My boys and I joined joined our MomsLA pals at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa and spent the day lounging around the Slyders Pool Playground. The weather could not have been better or the grounds lovelier.
The group of us were treated to lunch and drinks by the pool. All of it was great and I even found a salad that went well with my vegan diet.
It was hard to get my kids off of the water slides and out of the pool, but the minute I said “smores” they came running. Hyatt offers the smores kits pictured above that come with marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers and sticks.
We roasted them over the fire pit and I’m happy to report only a few caught on fire. My kids can’t wait to go back and enjoy the pool. We may do a little Staycation there later in the summer so we can try out the Camp Hyatt where kids can go spend the day while moms relax.
Speaking of moms. We noticed that blue is a popular choice this season for toe nail polish.
