Welcome to My Website!

I’m Yvonne Condes, a freelance writer and social media manager based in Los Angeles. My work has appeared in the LA Times, The Arrow, Mom.com and KCET. I’m also Contributing Editor to Picturing Mexican America, a project that works to uncover the whitewashed history of Mexican Los Angeles.

My online career began as an OG mom blogger at LA Moms Blog. I then co-founded MomsLA.com, an award-winning parenting site where I served as editor. During my blogging career, I was featured on National Public Radio, Buzzfeed, Inside Edition, USA Today, and on Los Angeles radio and television.

In addition, I was named one of Red Tricycle’s Coolest Power Moms and Mom.me’s Maker Moms on Instagram, and a Mujer Legendaria by Ford Motor Company. I’ve also been a panelist or speaker at Blogher, We All Grow Latina Summit, Hispanicize and the PBS Annual Meeting. I have also contributed to stories in the Washington Post and written for Common Sense Media, CBS Los Angeles, LatinaMom.me and Disney’s Babble.

When I’m not sitting at my desk or obsessively checking Instagram, I’m running, hiking, driving teenagers around town or baking something gluten-free.

If you’d like to reach me, I’m at yvonneinlosangeles (at) gmail (dot) com.

Thanks!
