My boys had been asking if we could go to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. I said we could, but we’d have to run a 5k first. What I actually said was if we ran the 5k, we could get into the aquarium early before the rest of the public and then get home by noon to play video games – everyone wins.They agreed and we had a great time. My younger son and I walk/ran it and finished in 43 minutes and my older son ran it in 30 minutes (even after I had him backtrack a couple of times to walk with us). It’s an annual event and I’m hoping we do it every year.
