Thanksgiving for me is all about Pie. Yes, there’s turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing. But really, it’s all calories and time spent until we get to the very best of the meal. This year, I made a gluten-free and a regular pumpkin pie, a double-crust apple pie, a gluten-free apple pie with almond streusel, and a chocolate walnut pie. My younger son made a decadent s’mores pie with his grandmother. The only thing better than having pie after Thanksgiving dinner is eating it for breakfast the next morning.
