There’s nothing that gets my attention like an email with Cookies in the subject line. I recently got an invitation to try a new website called Treatsa, which delivers fresh gourmet cookies to your door. You can also order a bottle of milk.
The company just launched in Los Angeles and is currently delivering cookies from Platine Bakery in Culver City. I love Platine’s cookies and I love milk so I was sold before I ever got the package. But my foodie friends are a little pickier so I had them try out the cookies at our monthly mom and kids play date.
First I went on Treatsa’s website and chose the Premium Chef’s Choice pack that had butterscotch cookies, chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and sugar cookies. There was also a little box with 4 mini chocolate cupcakes. Everyone at the play date raved about the presentation in the boxes. I asked about 6 people what they thought of the cookies and everyone agreed that they were amazing. The hands down favorite was the butterscotch cookie.
I received the cookies and milk as a free trial, but the box I ordered costs$50 and the milk was $5. With tax and hand delivery it was $67.25. I think that’s pretty reasonable for a holiday gift for the office or a friend. I ordered a couple of days ahead and it was delivered on the day I specified.
If you’re looking for a nice holiday gift, you really can’t go wrong with warm cookies and cold milk.
