Several years ago, going out of the house was a once-every-couple-of-months luxury. My kids were little, we had no babysitter, and my husband worked late hours. The only time I went out was to go to The Geffen Playhouse in Westwood where I had season tickets.
Looking back, those nights out were great and not just because I wasn’t nursing a baby for 2 hours, but because the shows were so good.
Now, I’m thrilled to say, I’m sharing The Geffen with a lucky reader! I’m giving away 2 tickets to the 8 p.m. showing of “In Mother Words” on Saturday, Feb. 19. And wait, there’s more. “In Mother Words” is a collection of vignettes from more than a dozen playwrights, including Beth Henley, one of my favorites. The actors are fabulous and include Jane Kaczmarek who was the mom from Malcolm in the Middle.
