Harry & David Avocados

When Harry & David contacted me about trying out their Fruit-of-the-Month Club, I couldn’t say no. I could ask a lot of questions, though. One of them was if I could get an organic box? Yes. Another was, where does the produce come from? Most of it comes from Harry & David’s farms in Medford, Oregon. My first box came from California.

They were in a beautiful box that I would have been delighted to receive as a gift. Two of the six avocados were ripe enough to eat that day. They were delicate and had a light flavor.

I already get an organic fruit and vegetable box from Farm Fresh To You delivered to my house twice a month. So the first thing I made was a salad with Farm Fresh’s green leaf lettuce, Harry & David’s organic avocados and Trader Joe’s Roasted Piquillo Peppers. Delightful.

My plan for the rest of the avocados was to try out this sweet avocado quesedilla recipe from JolllyMom, but the family and I went camping so it was salsa and avocado burgers instead. They were delicious.
