It takes a lot to get me out of the house these days. With marathon training and my sons’ sports teams, the weekends are packed and I’m tired.
But there was no way I was going to miss a party thrown by Romy Schorr of Romy Raves. Saturday, I got on two freeways to make the trip to Studio City, and had the best hour I’ve had in a very long time. The party was at ROB|B OPI Concept Salon and was sponsored by Therapon, which was promoting its Theraderm Skin Renewal System.
Our afternoon started with a cocktail made with One coconut water. I took mine with no alcohol because I was still hydrating after running 16 miles that morning (this has nothing to do with the story, I just like to mention how much I’m running whenever I can). Then I was whisked away to have a mini facial done by Esthetician Mariel Pizarro. I would highly recommend it. That was my first facial in years and mini or otherwise it was fabulous.
Speaking of fabulous, the food catered by Heirloom LA was unbelievable. My favorite was the short rib lasagna, but everything was good.
My afternoon of pampering was cut short, unfortunately, and I had to leave early to help at my boys’ basketball game. I’m pretty sure no one in the crowded gym full of sweaty kids noticed my facial, but I felt pretty just the same.
